The salary scale for this role is €79,600 - €94,344

In this role, you contribute to the strategic insights, planning and evaluation agenda of the Bord Bia Marketing Division in line with our Food Brand Ireland strategy as well as lead, develop, deliver and leverage a programme of client company and industry foresight & insight studies to drive increased impact and efficiency of our activities and pursue value

capture and creation for our industry.

 

What you’ll do

  1. Contribute to Bord Bia strategy development by proactively identifying the strategic insights requirement for Bord Bia’s Central Marketing team in line with our Food Brand Ireland strategy and playing a lead role in the delivery of our strategic planning process.

  2. Provide brand planning services to Bord Bia’s Marketing Division, including, but not limited to:

    1. Provision of consumer, customer, market and farmer insight to inform the development of our marketing and communications activities.

    2. Development of a deep understanding of our target groups and the ‘from – to’ behaviour change our marketing is seeking to deliver in each case.

  3. Contribution to the development and delivery of an effective and robust measurement and evaluation (M&E) programme, ensuring that our marketing and communications KPIs facilitate continuous improvement in the effectiveness of our marketing activities.

  4. Commission primary research studies with external agencies both for industry (for example, insight & trend study) and for client companies (for example, annual Brand Health Check study). This work will include collaboration with colleagues and/or client companies to inform and plan studies; project management of the research procurement process; production of compelling research and study-based reports that identify actionable implications.

  5. Support client companies in the use of foresight and insight studies to deliver their business goals, including working with client companies on strategic planning activities, developing and facilitating workshops with client companies; and working with client companies to research, test and refine innovation concepts with customers or consumers. For example, help clients build relevant credible and distinctive branded propositions, or map consumer/customer journeys to help clients build effective marketing plans.

  6. Act as a champion for collaboration between the Strategic Insights and Marketing divisions, proactively identifying synergies which can be realised by leveraging the different skills, experience, and expertise across the two Divisions. Role-model adherence to the One Bord Bia Operating Model.

  7. Assist with publicising and disseminating insight studies and represent Bord Bia at external events, for example making presentations on behalf of the Strategic Insights Division.

  8. Manage assigned budgets in accordance with One Bord Bia procedures.

About You

 

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities

 

Knowledge:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related industry or business

  • Market & Consumer insight study design & delivery

  • Foresight and Insight study design & delivery

  • Qualitative and quantitative research methodologies

  • Consumer and customer insight generation

  • Data analysis and presentation.

Skills & Capabilities:

  • Agency/supplier Management
