Grade: 4

 

The salary scale for this role is €82,824 to €98,165.

New Entrants to the Public Sector commence on the first point of the Scale.

The Purpose of Your Role

To develop, manage and implement plans and programmes in Horticulture sectors in line with Bord Bia’s Mission and Strategy in order to engage clients and stakeholders to grow categories and build business opportunities, and to contribute to the delivery of the Bord Bia 3-year strategy.



What you’ll do:


1.     Develop, manage and implement Bord Bia’s  Horticultural Programmes. Support the annual planning process for the team in line with Bord Bia’s wider strategic objectives and strategy. 


2.     Support and input into key Bord Bia and horticulture events and activities relevant to the Horticulture sector, including, but not limited to Bloom, sector seminars, national conferences, bespoke initiatives and sectoral reviews.


3.     Build and develop strong business relationships and collaborate as appropriate with both clients and stakeholders (which may include some customers) within industry and specific sectors of responsibility.


4. Represent Bord Bia and input into relevant sector interagency and industry groups, including the Horticulture Industry Forum and various sub sector Groups. In collaboration identify and develop market opportunities for Horticultural products in both retail and food service channels (including import substitution & export opportunities) 


5.     Input into and advise on promotional activities and campaigns in the Irish and export markets to address the specific promotional needs identified for sectors of responsibility.


6.     Support client companies to engage with the Bord Bia suite of client capability services including branding and access to programmes and grants.


7.     In collaboration with Insight teams, develop and continuously improve Bord Bia’s knowledge and market intelligence in the sectors of responsibility, identifying, researching & scoping the market opportunities.


8.    Manage assigned budgets in accordance with One Bord Bia procedures.


9.     Adhere to the One Bord Bia Operating Model.
