The salary scale for this role is €53,036 - €72,765

In this role, you will guide & manage the design, development, execution and marketing integration of events for our brands’ impact with our target audiences nationally and internationally in line with the vision, mission and strategic objectives of Bord Bia.

 

What you’ll do

  1. Guide and manage the delivery of Bord Bia’s marketing events and brand activations, which involves the management of EU trade show activations.

  2. Continuously monitor and evaluate participation at worldwide trade shows and trade missions, contribute to team analysis of individual projects and of the programme overall.

  3. Manage project budgets for marketing events and brand activation projects, including continuously (weekly) reconciling spend against allocated budget.

  4. Deliver efficient and effective execution of events and marketing projects in line with brand guidelines, including partnering with suppliers to deliver projects; and managing the expectations of internal and external stakeholders.

  5. Develop and manage key relationships both internally and externally, with clients, suppliers and contractors.

  6. Plan and manage the tender pipeline for design, construction and delivery of events.

  7. Monitor and maintain the integrity of Bord Bia’s brand hierarchy and architecture at trade fairs and marketing events.

  8. Leverage event analysis, trends and innovations in the industry to develop and execute novel and relevant features for our marketing events.

  9. Proactively drive collaboration across Events, GBD, Sectors and Marketing teams, as well as external stakeholders.

  10. Manage the performance of the International Graduate and Intern by determining and delegating priorities, through regular, formal PDP and PGP conversations and informal feedback and coaching.

  11. Adhere to the One Bord Bia Operating Model.

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities

 

Knowledge:

  • Irish Food, Drink and Horticulture Industry

  • Understanding of the integrated performance of marketing events for activating brands working across various teams

  • Event management

Skills & Capabilities:

  • Digital first mindset and comfortable with an agile culture focused on continuous improvement

  • Designing, developing and executing high quality events national and internationally

  • Management to realise impact & value

  • Strong project management skills to manage projects, teams and external suppliers

  • Proven track record of executing events

  • Ability to anticipate associated risk

  • Management of suppliers

  • Problem solving skills

  • Ability to collaborate across internal and external teams.
