Purpose

In this role, you will support the development, implementation and measurement of Bord Bia’s client support services and activities, to build and deliver sustainable business lead conversions for Irish food and drink exporters in the sectors of strategic priority within the region.


What you’ll do

  1. Deliver assigned Bord Bia client services relevant to the local market and in line with the market and sector strategies in areas such as:

  • Strategy and Direction

  • Brand, Marketing and Comms

  • Insight, Inspiration and Market Intelligence

  • Innovation, New Product and Brand Development

  • Market Entry, Sales and Activation,

  • Sustainability

  1. Become a regional market insights expert, collating and disseminating relevant and timely market and sector information to Irish client companies, and sharing knowledge with colleagues in line with Bord Bia best practice.

  2. Proactively maintain and develop a network of regional trade contacts, including customers in priority sectors and channels, local representatives/partners of Irish clients and other priority stakeholders.

  3. Localise and implement lines of communication from Bord Bia for owned media platforms (e.g. social media channels, German language website/webpages) and for B2B trade and media engagement initiatives to optimize reach and impact.

  4. Contribute to the development and annual review of Bord Bia’s strategy implementation plan for the market by developing local strategy plans and delivering on assigned KPIs.

  5. Effectively manage assigned budgets in accordance with Bord Bia processes and policies.

  6. Adhere to the One Bord Bia Operating Model

  7. Manage and mentor a Bord Bia Global Graduate including assigning appropriate projects, providing timely feedback and supporting learning assignments.

  8. Support the management of external agencies and third-party contractors (e.g. creative agencies, media agencies, audit agencies, researchers etc.).

About You


Essential Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities


Knowledge:

  • Generating and distilling market insights

  • 3+ years’ knowledge operating in business development/ marketing/ key account management/ insights/ project management type role

  • Building professional relationships with suppliers, trade customers, media & government, both in Ireland, and the marketplace.

Skills & Capabilities:

  • Ability to communicate and operate confidently in a business environment in both English and German, both written and spoken

  • Influencing, relationship-building and negotiating skills, adapted to the local culture

  • Excellent communication (written, spoken) & presentation skills,

  • Proficient business use of the full Microsoft Office suite

Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities


Knowledge:

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline, e.g. Business, Marketing, Food Science, etc.

  • Knowledge of the Irish Food, Drink & Horticulture industry

  • Membership of relevant professional bodies

  • Successful implementation of trade and/or consumer marketing campaigns.

Skills & Capabilities:

  • Experience in the use of Salesforce or equivalent CRM and video conferencing systems.

  • Experience operating professionally in different cultures
