Purpose

In this role, you will support the development implementation and measurement of Bord Bia’s client support services and activities, to build and deliver sustainable business lead conversions for Irish food and drink exporters in the sectors of strategic priority within the region.


What you’ll do

  1. Support and deliver assigned client services relevant to the local market (e.g. market information and activation), in line with the market strategy implementation plan and the Bord Bia Corporate and Sector strategies. This will focus on Meat and Seafood (with secondary focus Dairy, Beverages, PCF) sectors.

  2. Become a regional market insights expert, collating and disseminating relevant and timely market and sector information to Irish client companies, and sharing knowledge with colleagues in line with best practice set out by The Thinking House.

  3. Proactively maintain and build a network of regional trade contacts in priority sectors across all channels and in various roles within identified key accounts.

  4. Localise and implement lines of communication from Bord Bia, ensuring optimum reach for Bord Bia’s trade messaging on industry capabilities and our unique sustainability credentials, and Bord Bia’s consumer messaging on our unique product attributes in relevant priority sectors via local PR and consumer media buying.

  5. Contribute to the development and annual review of Bord Bia’s strategy implementation plan for the market by developing local strategy plans and delivering on assigned KPIs.

  6. Manage the performance of team members by determining and delegating priorities, through regular, formal PDP and PGP conversations and informal feedback and coaching.

  7. Effectively manage assigned budgets in accordance with One Bord Bia processes and policies.

  8. Embed adherence to the One Bord Bia Operating Model.

About You


Essential Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities


Knowledge:

  • Experience generating and distilling market insights.

  • Successful implementation of trade and/or consumer marketing campaigns.

  • Proven experience of building professional relationships with suppliers, trade customers, media & government, both in Ireland and the marketplace.

Skills & Capabilities:

  • Fluent in both written and spoken Japanese and English.

  • 5+ years’ experience operating in a marketing or business development role.

  • Experience operating professionally in different cultures.

  • Influencing and negotiating skills, adapted to the local culture.

  • Proficient business use of the full Microsoft Office Suite

Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities


Knowledge:

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline, e.g. Business, Marketing etc.

  • Experience & knowledge of the Irish Food, Drink & Horticulture industry.

  • Membership of relevant professional bodies.

Skills & Capabilities:

  • Influencing and negotiating skills, adapted to the local culture.

  • Experience in the use of Salesforce or equivalent CRM and video conferencing systems.
